In this course, you’ll learn the basics of modern software engineering principles - program design, control flow, arithmetic, variables, abstraction, functions, data structures and basic packages. The course will use Python, one of the most powerful and accessible languages available today. No prior programming experience required. Designed for medical students. The course is based on Stanford’s excellent CS106A course. We will hold a medical AI workshop on Friday 21/6, which will serve as an introduction to our flagship 8-week Medical AI certificate in the Summer. By completing this course, you are eligible to attend the Medical AI certificate!
We will be organising a medical AI certificate from 18/11/24 to 24/01/25, with a 2-week break from 20/12/24 to 06/01/25. The medical AI certificate will cover what you need to know in coding, math, probability and algorithms, before covering the basics of neural networks and state-of-the-art foundation models and large language models. The certificate will culminate in your very own research project in medical AI! The medical AI certificate is our lab’s flagship program and will open doors for graduates in medical AI research/industry/policy both in Australia and internationally.
